Interiors by Seashal

About Me

In 2012 I left my 15 year career in Advertising as a Vice President, moved from San Francisco to Pittsburgh to be closer to family and rediscovered a lifelong passion for Interior Design. As a child, my mother owned apartment buildings that she was always renovating and my parents bought a 100 year old Victorian home that they renovated over the course of my childhood.  Growing up, I was always reworking furniture, painting and redesigning my space.

I now have over 11 years of interior design experience. I spent the first 6 being mentored under a designer in West Virginia, traveling to High Point Furniture Market bi-annually and implementing my skills for friends, family and my own homes. From there, I went back to school for interior design and in 2019 I launched Interiors by Seashal.

I like to work on a wide variety of homes, not just one particular style. I believe in respecting the overall style and architecture of the home while incorporating the functional needs, style and taste of the homeowner. From there, I elevate the design to create a thoughtful luxurious home that specifically caters to my clients.

I have a strong passion for creating comfortable and luxurious homes that reflect my client’s personality and the functionality of their space.  As a full service interior designer, I specialize in custom furniture, hand tailored drapery, room design, lighting, accessories, wall art, wallcoverings, cabinetry design and home renovations.

I am driven to exceed expectations through thoughtful customized designs and meticulous attention to detail. I will ultimately deliver you a place you are proud of, a place that reflects you… a place that feels like home. I also promise that if you trust the process, we’ll have a lot of fun along the way!

Giving Back
For over 5 years I have volunteered as a cross country and track coach to over 100 children and am on the Peters Township Zoning Hearing Board.

Previously, I was one of the founding members of the Peters Township Farmers Market, I helped launch the market and volunteered running it on a weekly basis for 5 years.  The goal was to encourage relationships between local producers and consumers to limit the distance that food travels from farm to table and support local farmers and artisans.  I was also on the Policy Council at Blueprints as the elected Chairperson. Blueprints provides services to families in Western PA that are struggling with poverty by providing them with the blueprints for self-sufficiency and building a better future. When possible, I work with my clients to donate their old furniture to a local family in need. I am also one of the creators of Blueprints’ “A Little Lift” project. This is a crowd-sourcing site where you can donate towards a “LIFT” that has been selected by a Blueprint’s Case Worker. Join us in breaking the barriers of poverty at: https://alittlelift.org/

“We recently worked with Seashal to furnish and decorate our living room and dining room areas. She was beyond patient with us and came up with such great ideas for us that we never would’ve come up with (and hadn’t after 3 years of living in our home). From design to execution she made it fun and even exhilarating. She worked to create a plan of action with different options while staying within our budget. She is energetic, knowledgeable, pleasant, professional, and very helpful. Her extensive product knowledge and attention to detail is top notch. The uniqueness and caring demeanor that Seashal brings to interior design made it a wonderful experience. I highly recommend Interiors by Seashal and her truly remarkable services! We look forward to working with her again soon on another project!”
